A Day To Save
Misty breeze upon my face
Sand cushioning these bones
Sandals swinging from one hand
As I watch
The seagulls land and pose
The ocean calling us ashore
Via the sound of lapping waves
I find driftwood as a souveneir
And a smile for my face
If I could capture but one day
To save for winters woes
I'd take this one out and feel again
Warm sand between my toes.
